BLUE HOUR

Throughout art history, the ephemeral colour blue has been used in various contexts, from depictions of sky and sea to the portrayal of sadness. It‘s subtle, yet strong feel always spoke to me. Since the in-betweenness of things weaves through every work I make, the so called ‚blue-hour‘ (the part of the sunset, just before total darkness takes over) as well as foggy landscapes (where you can only assume what you see) and the movement of tides build the biggest inspiration for this branch of works, which grew from my ongoing ‚Fragments of Being‘ series. Like in my ongoing project, the overall work consists of many fragments/pieces, deeply intertwined with each other, yet individually presentable.
